A. L. Lee Corporation acquired the EIMCO line of Locomotives used in mines, tunnels and construction projects around the world.
A. L. Lee Locomotives - trolley, battery or trolley/battery combination are designed for optimum performance at low cost. They deliver high payloads, shift after shift, with minimal downtime.
A. L. Lee has the engineering expertise to design and manufacture a custom Locomotive to meet your application and duty cycle - 24" to 56-1/2" track gauge, 4 ton to 20 ton, as narrow as 37", height and length to meet your specifications, open or enclosed operators compartment, MSHA approved, battery powered, if required.
Safety Features:
The all-welded frame is fabricated from steel side and end plates reinforced with cross-members and bumpers for strength to provide operator protection,
Three seperate braking systems - service, dynamic and park - provide adequate and emergency stopping power.
Comfortable Ride:
The soft ride suspension system is made up of cantilevered wheel and axle assemblies stabilized by coil springs. This system provides a smooth ride over uneven or rough track.
Padded steel frame seats provide a comfortable seating arrangement.
Electric Power:
Rail Locomotives are powered by one-or-two electric motors. The electric system can be powered by trolley-300 or 600V DC, 120V battery or in combination.
Troilley powered units feature a sliding harp which places the trolley pole within easy reach of the operator. A four step controller with magnetic contactors and resistors provides smooth acceleration.
Reduced Maintenance:
A. L. Lee Locomotives are direct, chainless drive from motor to axle. Components are loctaed for easy accessibility. Zone lubrication assures effective serviceability.
